At 100mm underfoot, the Atomic Access is designed for soft snow adventuring, but it gives you good control and a smooth ride on the groomed slopes, too. Step Down sidewalls and camber underfoot provide stability on hard snow and Powder Rocker plus girth underfoot make for great float in soft snow. The Atomic Access ski is a nice choice for intermediate to advanced skiers looking for something agile and easy.
  • Powder Rocker - rocker for lift in powder and camber for stability on hard snow

Expert Review:

"Looking for an off-piste ski that won't cause you to take out another mortgage on your house? Go with this baby - the Access is a moderately priced top performer. The Atomic Access ski is light, soft and super forgiving for those that request as much help in the deep stuff as they can get." -George 'Squid' Sideris, Jans Mountain Recreation Expert

Industry Review:

SKI MAGAZINE Assessment:

The tip-rockered Access is the narrowest of Atomic's powder-specific skis. With 100 mm underfoot, it'll do fine as a one-ski-quiver on many Western mountains. It's a wood-core construction with Atomic's Step Down sidewalls. A shortened sidewall supports cap construction on top, so it has edge-bite but won't be overpowering, and the flex gets progressively suppler toward the tip and tail.

Powder Magazine Assessment:

The Access is the perfect all-mountain powder ski and the ideal companion in any situation. A 100mm waist width and Power Rocker 10 profile in the shovel allow for effortless maneuverability and great floatation in soft snow. Its Step Down Sidewall L2 and wood core construction ensure reliable stability in all conditions.

SkiingMagazine.com Assessment:

Designed to introduce resort skiers to the benefits of rocker in soft and variable snow, the Access is predictable, versatile, and very easy to ski on anything from groomers to chopped-up powder. A generously rockered tip planes over powder and chunks, while underfoot camber and a GS-style turn radius give it hardpack-carving chops. Moderate flex is suitable for intermediates and casual experts looking to tackle deep snow and rugged terrain. And the Access's light weight makes it ideal for uphill travel in the backcountry.
