Agile at low speeds and dynamic at high speeds, the Atomic D2 VF 75 ski offers easy handling, but with incredible edge grip, and with an 11 meter turning radius, youÆll be able to ski circles around everyone you know. The Atomic D2 VF 75 ski is an intermediate to advanced level carving ski that comes thoughtfully matched with the ASYS00532 NEOX TL 12 ski binding included in the price. This Atomic D2 ski features Doubledeck technology which allows the ski to automatically adapt its flex according to the skiing situation. Strong edge grip, vibration absorption, and a narrow waist make for easy carving and smooth gliding turns.
  • Doubledeck - upper and lower deck construction allows the ski flex to adapt to the situation at hand for smooth easy turns

Expert Review:

"A product of their impeccable racing heritage, Atomic's double-deck technology sets this carving ski apart from the rest. It's like a ski built on top of a ski that you have to feel to believe. Damp yet lively, the D2 75 will punch trenches into the snow."

Industry Review:

SKI MAGAZINE Assessment:

The D2 VF 75 is a cambered frontside carving machine with no speed limit-the quintessential "illegal" racer (because its radius isn't FIS-legal). Atomic's Doubledeck, or D2, construction features a top core and a bottom core (the two "decks") separated by shock absorbing material. The flex starts soft but gets progressively stiffer at higher speeds (Atomic calls it Varioflex, or VF), while the skier, riding the top deck, is insulated from balance-compromising shocks. The harder you push it, the more it pushes back. The lower core is milled foam.

Skiing MAGAZINE Assessment:

The D2's two-tiered construction damps vibration and reduces a ski's tendency to twist while on edge. The result is a smooth, quiet ride and magnetic edge grip. Despite its tenacious bite, our women testers found it adaptable and easy to skid and slide. But stay forward, they warned; its stiff tail tends to punish the rider who falls into the backseat. It's a perfect daily driver for East Coasters, but it'll handle groomed snow anywhere with aplomb. Zero chatter.
