The K2 A.M.P. Aftershock ski absorbs impact and dampens vibration, giving you smooth, edge gripping turns. This all mountain ski with all-terrain rocker features an elevated tip for performance on soft snow, and camber underfoot for power and edge grip on firm snow. The K2 A.M.P. Aftershock ski is a versatile high performance ski.
  • All-Terrain Rocker - for versatility, elevated tip boosts performance in soft and variable snow, 70% camber underfoot provides power, energy, and edge grip for harder snow
  • Mod Technology - a secondary core layered on top of the primary core moves separately, absorbing vibrations and impact shock along the lengths of the ski

**Please note that bindings are not included with the K2 A.M.P. Aftershock.**

Expert Review:

"Back again for 2012 is the K2 A.M.P. Aftershock ski that replaces the formidable Apache Explorer that ruled this category for 3 years prior. The K2 A.M.P. Aftershock is the widest of the all-mountain performance (A.M.P.) series with All-Terrain rocker that uses titanium laminate and new hybrid sidewall that will rock your world." Industry Review:

SKI MAGAZINE Assessment:

Gold Medal Gear Award. No one can be "on" every minute of every ski day. The returning After Shock, with one of the tests largest performance envelopes, understands. Testers pronounced it to be one of most stable and relaxed rides at moderate speeds (No. 2 in Forgiveness), but found that it responded well to aggressive input on steep terrain as well. Two sheets of metal add oomph to its hybrid cap/sidewall construction. "Forgot how damn fun this ski is. Perfect balance for every type of high-performance all-mountain skiing."

SkiingMagazine.com Assessment:

The widest ski of K2's A.M.P. all-mountain series has the same blend of performance and ease as the Charger and Rictor but with the advantages of more girth and more rocker. Except for a rank beginner, nearly any skier could have fun on the Aftershock. But that's not to say it's tame-experts will appreciate its smoothly metered power. Effortless turn initiation is followed by powerful edge grip throughout the turn. It's excellent in groomed snow, bumps, trees, and shallow powder.
