Redesigned for 2011/2012, The North Face Diez Jacket gives lightweight a whole new meaning. Stuffed with exclusive 900-fill down for super warmth, the Diez Jacket has all the insulation of a traditional down jacket without any of the weight or bulk. A Pertex 10 denier nylon ripstop exterior is thick and durable to outlast whatever rugged, peak-bagging missions you're tackling. Minimal features reduce the Diez Jacket's overall weight, making it an ideal choice for packing on long-haul, cold weather treks. - Jacket packs away into its own hand pocket
- Hideaway hem cinch-cord seals out drafts and won't snag on obstacles
- Dense, fibrous shell fabric prevents rips and tears in rugged terrain
- Two hand pockets store essential gadgets and goodies

Industry Review:
Adventure TRAVEL MAGAZINE Assessment:
The Diez Jacket, part of The North Face's Summit Series featuring the company's most technical clothing, uses ethically sourced 900 fill goose down to get its amazing warmth. To help with the light weight, its outer is a Pertex Quantum shell - the lightest fabric Pertex makes, which is also seriously robust. Also keeping the jacket light is that it's minimalist - there's no hood, and just two pockets: zippered hand-warmers that are a good size. All this means that it fits neatly into its right hand pocket; easily compressing to the smallest jacket on this test making it utterly packable as an emergency layer no matter how light you're trying to keep your pack. And once rolled away into the pocket there's a loop so you can clip it on to your harness too. . .
