Position / Job Title: Full Time Retail Sales Associate

Employment Period: 40 hrs/week, 2015/2016 ski season

Summary: As a Hardgoods Sales Associate at the Jans Deer Valley location, your primary role is to help our customers make informed purchases of skis, bindings and boots. While prior retail experience in the ski industry is required for this position, you will also receive a large amount of training and education to help you take your career to the next level. You’ll personally test every ski we carry and use your firsthand experience to guide customers through their own testing process. You’ll also learn advanced boot fitting skills – trained by coworkers who are some of the best in the business. If you’re friendly, motivated, and passionate about skiing, there’s no better place to work than Jans at Deer Valley’s Snowpark Lodge.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Ensure every customer purchases the skis, bindings and boots that are right for them.
Develop advanced boot fitting techniques, including shell/liner alterations, alignment adjustments, and creation of custom foot beds.
Assist with sales of outerwear, helmets, goggles, gloves and accessories as needed.
Be a positive influence in the shop.

Requirements: Must be able to work 40 hours per week throughout the entire operating season.
Must have flexible schedule and be open to working weekends/holidays.
Knowledge of skis, bindings and boots.
Passion for skiing and the equipment involved.
Understand and follow all Deer Valley Dress Codes.
Previous retail and boot fitting experience.
