Guided Fly-Fishing Tours
Jans fly-fishing guides have fished the best lakes and streams, can pinpoint the hatches and have obtained exclusive access to some very special waters. A Jans guided trip provides the opportunity to fish a variety of lakes and ponds as well as miles of streams on private property closed to the public.
LOCAL WATERS
The Weber and Provo Rivers are 15 to 40 minutes from Park City. These rivers flow through scenic countryside and provide fishing for Big Browns and Rainbows in Blue Ribbon Waters. We offer half-day and full-day trips but recommend that beginners fish for a full day.
FALCON'S LEDGE
Magnificent Falcon's Ledge overlooks eight superb fisheries. Just step out your front door and catch a trout to write home about! The private waters of Stillwater Canyon thrive with big Browns, Rainbows, Donaldson Steelhead and Cutthroat trout. Also, enjoy casting drys to big cruisers from April through October. There are no half-day rates.
SIX LAKES
Come enjoy trophy trout fishing in quiet seclusion amongst 400 plus acres of wetlands, including impressive ponds, 2 to 10 acres in size. There are no half-day rates. Overnight lodging is available.
GREEN RIVER
This world-renowned river at the base of Flaming Gorge Dam flows through a scenic canyon and boasts over 10,000 fish per mile. We recommend floating the river by drift boat and can help arrange your trip for you. The cost is approximately $420 per boat. Overnight camping and lodging is available.

All over the world, the best
fly-fishing adventures start at JANS.
Since 1987, Jans has been leading clients on some of the best fly-fishing adventures in the world. From fly-fishing for Tarpon in Boca Grand to casting for trout in New Zealand, Jans complements these world-class locations with a level of service that's world-class in itself.
No matter where you travel to enjoy the sport, the right guides and the right equipment make all the difference in the world. Jans' guides, and the local guides we work with, know the perfect spot, the exact technique and the local idiosyncrasies you need to know to maximize your success. Our guides have even obtained exclusive access to some very special private waters, affording you an opportunity you'd never have if you stayed on the beaten paths.
From friendly, patient guides to gracious, accommodating hosts, your whole excursion with Jans is a treat you'll long remember. After all, while the fish and the locale are important, it's the people that make the trip. On an excursion with Jans, your expert guides and fellow anglers are a special breed of adventurer determined to get the most from every trip. Many of our journeys are filled with veteran fly-fishermen who have been coming back year after year, and the blend of veterans and less experienced fly-fishermen is comfortable, relaxed and enjoyable. It makes for the most pleasant of trips.
All our fly-fishing trips include casting and fishing instruction as needed, as well as basic entomology. Whether you're out to catch Steelhead in British Columbia, Rainbow Trout in New Zealand, or you're fly-fishing for Tarpon in Florida, Jans will prove that better guides and better locations have one net result: You'll become a better fly-fisherman than you ever imagined, and you will have an adventure worthy of an expert.
Fly-fishing on the Bulkley River
In late summer and early fall, Jans makes 3 to 4 signature trips to the beautiful Bulkley River in British Columbia, Canada where you will make thousands of casts over 7 days, fishing for the mighty Steelhead. For more than 15 years, Jans' trip to The Bulkley River Lodge and the annual migration of Steelhead has been our most popular trip. The main lodge is the ideal place to relax and enjoy an incredibly delicious five star meal and talk about the day's conquests. Visit Bulkley River Lodge's web site here.
