Industry Review Backpacker Magazine Assessment:
Flip-flops are fine in summer - but in cold weather, switch to The North Face Nuptse Bootie III. These high-cut, 700-fill down toasters are much more than tent slippers. A lugged rubber sole provides traction on snow and wet rocks, and an elastic cord cinches the top to seal out icy drafts.
TetonGravity.com Assessment:
I love this boot...it has the look of a classic tent bootie, but has a durable and light weight rubber sole that can put on some serious miles. While traveling I often try and minimize the number of shoes I bring, but on a ski trip you have to have your ski boots, a pair of shoes, and some sort of boot to kick around town while it's dumping. This shoe fills that niche perfectly...because it's so light it won't push your luggage into that "over weight" bag realm. And it's like having a down jacket for your feet!
