RIDE SUMMARY:
For an introduction to mountain biking, the Historic Union Pacific Rail Trail is a nice, mild place to start. The Historic Union Pacific Rail Tail is one of the easiest tours in Park City with a paved bike path for a lot of it and very smooth packed road base path for the rest, and all of it is at very mild grade. It’s all suitable for towing kid trailers or for kids on “tag alongs.” Just because it’s the easiest ride doesn’t mean it lacks scenery. The Historic Union Pacific Rail Trail follows alpine streams, meanders through canyons and pasture land, and provides stunning views of both the Wasatch, and High Uinta mountains. It’s perfect for the entire family.
