Helly Hansen
Helly Hansen’s history reads almost like an early draft of Moby Dick. The man behind the name, Helly Juell Hansen, went to sea when he was only 14 years old. In 1877, when he was 35 years old, he began making oilskin jackets, trousers, and tarpaulins, with the help of his wife, Margarethe. Within only a few years, the ambitious duo had turned out around 10,000 pieces. And they were just getting started. Today, Helly Hansen continues to make some of the most uncompromising outdoor apparel in the world, and they’re a brand that we’re honored to offer our customers.
