Backstory
Cory raced for a handful of different sponsors for a couple years, and moved out to Park City seven years ago with the intention of continuing as a professional Nordic ski racer – then he immediately abandoned this poor man’s arrangement for a more stable lifestyle. These days Cory works full time in town as a carpenter, building houses and doing remodels in Old Town and the immediate Park City area. He also finds time to do specialized technical services for Jans, and to do a good amount of outdoor recreating.
Back in college Cory played guitar, harmonica, and a number of other instruments in a rock’n’roll band. If anyone is looking to start a band in Park City, let him know!
“Cory is the last person that will brag about his background as a ski tech for the U.S. Nordic Ski Team. He was involved with the team during a time that saw unprecedented results from our female Nordic skiers, including multiple World Championship medals. If you can get him talking, his practical knowledge of ski tuning is off the charts. Anytime I get to hang out with Cory, working on skis, takes me back to my coaching days in Europe.”
