Ride Summary
This ride has a bit of variety, from bike paths along McLeod Creek to single track up into open meadows. There are two significant climbs, but they aren’t that long or technical, so they won’t kill you, and the reward is fast cross hill trails that are a blast. Just for a little challenge, there are a few switchbacks uphill and down.
If you’d like to ride right from White Pine Touring’s shop, there are four miles of bike path along streams and through nice meadows, and then a mile of country road to get to the Round Valley Trailhead on Old Ranch Road. Otherwise, if you’d prefer, we can just use the van to shuttle over to the trailhead. From there, it’s a good single track climb into Round Valley. This area has been purchased by Park City as permanent open space, and it’s easy to see why. After riding through the valley, there’s a climb out and a nice rolling ride back to the start.
