Ride Summary

If you want a good ride right near town, this is the perfect little jaunt. This is for Intermediates looking to challenge themselves or advanced intermediate riders who want to power through tight singletrack at a higher pace so fast the trees just blur. There’s a great semi-technical climb and then lots and lots of fast cross mountain stuff as the reward.

After 1.8 miles of Rail Trail riding, you get treated to a steady 2 1/2 mile climb with nice switchbacks all along the way. After that there’s some fun, fast cross mountain stuff, and then another mile of switchback climbing. Unfortunately, there is a bit of road riding to connect some of the single track, but there are nice houses and views to entertain you. The downhill switchbacks are a bit technical and are slow going, but they aren’t beyond the reach of most intermediates. It’s a fun challenge, and even advanced intermediates might have to touch a toe down once or twice.
