Backstory
A few years back Nate Tomlinson moved out West with seven of his buddies from Canton, NY (a town of 6,000), and had a vague plan of working in a ski shop. Three of those seven friends now work at Jans. Nate, who started out in the rental shop, became the Assistant Manager at the Jans Park City Mountain Resort store before becoming a Content Writer for Jans.com. Nate says he learned literally everything he knows about the outdoor industry from PCMR Store Manager, Stephanie Humes and from Rennstall Manager, Erik Boller. Nate started playing hockey when he was two and didn't care about anything else until he turned 18. These days Tomlinson plays men’s league hockey for the Park City Puckers, but he also loves hiking and skiing with friends - no matter what the conditions. He got into mountain biking after moving to Park City. Back in his hometown the only people who rode bikes were kids, or people with multiple DUI's.

The easy going mountain recreation expert shares a 1993 Jeep Cherokee with two buddies who also work at Jans. None of the displays work, and it stalls out at speed. The radio stays on 106.5 FM at all times. It's awesome.

“Nate was my right hand for two winters and I couldn't have done it without him. I could always count on him to do the right thing, but he also possesses a healthy amount of wit and sarcasm that never fails to disappoint. He skis hard, a member of the Straight Air Army, but he also loves hockey. When he worked at our PCMR store, you could sometimes find him skating around the rink outside the shop for his break when the skiing was a little lacking.”
