Whether you're setting off for a trail run, ride, or a cool-weather dog walk, pull on the lightweight warmth of Norrona's Senja Warm1 Hood. Norrona's Warm1 fabric delivers excellent warmth-to-weight performance and long-lasting durability for hundreds of adventurous outings. The Senja Warm1 Hood is part pullover, part half-zip and wholly technical performance with a sleek tech fit and thumbholes that make layering easy and comfortable. A lighter, more open mesh polyester on the back and underarms enhances breathability and moisture management when you start running hot.
Warm™1 Weighing under 200 grams/m², Warm™1 is incorporated in Norrona's lightest fleece fabrics. The unique construction of this fabric makes it the perfect midlayer as it traps warm air without stopping moisture transport. When worn alone, the fabrics are open enough to allow air to circulate, making you feel comfortable in milder conditions. When worn under a shell, it provides excellent insulation values.
Oeko-Tex® Certified Fabric Oeko-Tex® Certified Fabric is one of the world's best-known labels for textiles tested for harmful substances. It stands for customer confidence and high product safety. If a textile article carries the Oeko-Tex® Certified label, you can be certain that every component of this article (i.e. every thread, button and other accessories) has been tested for harmful substances and that the article therefore is harmless for human health.
bluesign® bluesign® technologies, based in Switzerland, works at each step in the textile supply chain to approve chemicals, processes, materials, and products that are safe for the environment, safe for workers, and safe for the end customers. Any fabric that’s bluesign® approved offers the highest level of consumer safety by employing methods and materials in their manufacture that conserve resources and minimize impacts on people and the environment.
PFC-Free Durable Water Repellent (DWR) Like standard DWR, PFC-free DWR is a fabric treatment that improves the water-repellency of the outer layer of the material while maintaining its breathability—but without PFCs (perfluorinated chemicals). PFCs decompose slowly and negatively impact the environment. According to the EPA, PFCs also harm human and animal health, and they can be ingested through air, water, and food.
High UPF Sun Protection Rating UPF (ultraviolet protection factor) refers to the fraction of UVA and UVB rays that can get through a textile. For example, UPF 15 means that 1/15th (or 6%) of UV rays can get through the fabric. Not all pieces of clothing are equal. Fabric type, construction, color, and chemical treatments are some of the biggest influencing factors. The higher the UPF number, the greater the sun protection, with 50 usually being the highest.
