Backstory
Pete Millon brings over 50 years of industry experience to Rennstall. Over the course of those years, Pete has witnessed—and contributed to—the beginnings and subsequent evolution of the ski industry in North America. Looking back on those years, Pete recalls drawing confused stares in Fort Worth, Texas while travelling with a pickup full of ski gear as a rep in the 1960s and skiing from the Aiguille du Midi with French steep skiing pioneer Sylvain Soudan while testing skis in Chamonix. Suffice it to say that Pete has seen the literal peaks and valleys the ski industry has to offer.

Being one of the first three Salomon employees in North America in the late ‘60s, Pete traveled across the country selling bindings into some of the first ski shops in the country at the original Harry Leonard ski shows. He later went on to work on the Mid-America Ski Race Series hosted by Salomon and Rossignol. Pete even had a stint on the World Pro Tour. In 2012, he joined Rennstall and quickly became the resident expert on base and edge repair. Pete operates under a simple mantra that encapsulates his commitment to his craft: “Difficult can be done today, impossible just takes a little longer.” If you’ve ever taken your skis into Rennstall, you know it’s a mantra he takes seriously.
