The Rennstall Ski Tune

Rennstall means “Race Room" in German, the language of a country where tuning a ski by hand is a passion. Rennstall is the name of our World Cup Tuning Center where our Expert technicians make sure that each ski is tuned to meet the needs of the individual skier. That means you pick the structure, side and base bevels, and even the wax that is right for you.

While the Rennstall tune still uses the same state-of-the-art equipment as the Wintersteiger tune, more of the work is done by hand. For example, we take more time to hand plane the edges of your skis so they are as sharp and smooth as possible. Then we deburr the skis, removing the most microscopic pieces of debris prior to waxing. You still get the factory finish of the Wintersteiger tune. We just take it to another level.

Our technicians are among the best in the world, which is why so many World Cup racers have Jans work on their skis. High-end ski tuning is part art, part science. In the right combination, there really is a difference.
