After he graduated from Green Mountain College, Tyler moved to Park City because the mud seasons were too long back in Vermont. He likes the fact that springtime here means you can climb, bike and ski. A voracious rock climber, Tyler enjoys the challenge of tackling all the different types of rock in Utah – from quartzite in the Uintas to granite in Little Cottonwood Canyon and sandstone in the desert, although he has a bias for granite. During the winters, Ty can be found at the Rennstall World Cup Tuning Center where the flexible schedule lets him ski as much as possible during the day. Having skied The Grand Teton, along with Mt. Shasta and Mt. Hood, the talented backcountry skier says the best part about the sport is, “that it lets you breathe and gives you a chance to decompress and relax.” Only Tyler would consider skinning up 10,000 vertical feet "relaxing" and that’s what makes him such an incredible athlete.

“I don’t know if I’ve ever met someone with as much consistent energy as Tyler. He competes in serious alpine touring races, rock climbs all over the Wasatch, and kills it on a mountain bike. But the best thing about Ty is that he’ll never go out of his way to tell you about his accomplishments. He’s one of the most naturally gifted, yet humble athletes I know and an absolute blast to bomb around the mountains with. ”
