The Salomon X Ultra 4 Mid GTX is a rugged hiking boot fully adapted to a woman's foot. Salomon tailored the women's X Ultra 4 with a softer cuff, a unique cradling anatomical design, and a lower-density ADV-C Chassis for greater stability. This X Ultra 4 model also boasts a supportive higher "mid" cut, GORE-TEX waterproof protection, and a grippy All Terrain Contagrip outsole, so it can power through any trial in any condition.

GORE-TEX

GORE-TEX is an extremely thin membrane that’s durably waterproof, windproof, and breathable. It has over 9 billion pores per square inch that are each 20,000 times smaller than a water drop, but 700 times larger than water vapor. This means that water won't get through the membrane, but that perspiration vapor can escape. Different iterations of this basic membrane principle are used in a variety of products throughout the outdoor industry.
