Responsibilities:
Responsible for purchasing ski wear, Footwear, Seasonal Casual Clothing, Nordic Apparel, Accessories and related categories for JANS and White Pine Locations
Researching and selecting the appropriate product mix for all relevant locations. Solid foundation of Retail Math and Buying fundamentals. Negotiating best margins and terms with vendors. Place orders timely to procure preseason discounts. Travel and attend appointments. Attending show and product intros. Utilizing software for PO writing and sales reports. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (proficiency in Excel a must). Organizing clinics and teaching staff the philosophy behind buy. Stock balancing, re-orders, special orders. Overall buying management. Excellent time management skills. This position requires flexibility in schedule. Typically, 45 to 50 hours a week, 5 days a week or more. Light travel required.
Expectations:
This position will continue to promote and develop Jans strong history with offering a high quality and performance soft goods presentation. Professionalism- represents Jans across the industry in continuing and creating relationships with companies and representatives. Strong communication and workability with all Jans departments. Skills in communication and following budgets, analyzing sales sell-through, negotiating margins and payment terms. Keeping up with apparel trends and researching appropriate selections for mountain town demographics. Sales training and product training. Supporting hardgoods department and sales. Create positive feedback loops with staff to enhance sales and profitability. Participate in developing strategies to promote, merchandise, and sell products. This position reports directly to the General Manager.
Requirements
- Ski wear, Footwear, Seasonal Casual Clothing, Nordic Apparel, Accessories and related categories for JANS and White Pine Locations
- Minimum 5 years of relevant industry Merchandising and Buying Experience
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the retail industry a plus

Bike Mechanic

Salary based on experience
White Pine Touring is an outdoor retailer specializing in mountain biking, backcountry skiing, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, and rock climbing. We rent top-of-the line equipment and offer guided mountain biking, road biking, hiking, and rock climbing as well as lessons throughout Park City’s 450 miles of trails and the neighboring Uinta Mountains. White Pine touring is currently looking for a Bike Mechanic that will join our awesome team of hard working, knowledgeable individuals who are enthusiastic about experiencing the outdoors.
Main responsibilities will be servicing bikes with a higher-level skill set. This will include performing tune-ups and standard procedures such as shifting adjustments, brake-bleeding, component installation, as well as more advanced procedures such as basic suspension services, internal hose/housing frame routing, diagnostics of repair issues.
Job Responsibilities:
- Providing superior mechanical service
- Working in a fast-paced bike shop
- Completing all paper and computer invoicing associated with repair work
- Ability to seek assistance from others when help is needed
- Provide feedback to management for department and store improvements
- Keep the service area clean and professional looking
- Bike trouble shooting and diagnosing
- Perform repairs within established time limits
- Complete sales checks and accessory installs for sales department within established time limits
- Assist sales staff with technical questions
- Friendly, welcoming customer service with a smile
- A desire to talk with people about cycling
- Communicate directly with customers concerning necessary or suggested repairs

Required work experience:
- 2-3 years experience as a bicycle mechanic preferred
