Armada ARV 116 JJ UL Ski
Details
Light is right if you want to stay on top of Utah's famous blower powder this winter. When fresh snow stacks up, the Armada ARV 116 JJ UL will keep you afloat no matter how deep it gets. The UL is the ultralight model that's 25% lighter than the ARV 116 JJ. Armada achieved this weight reduction by using their lightest core made from caruba wood and combining it with a fiberglass laminate and less metal in the edges. The result is a surfy powder ski that's light enough to use for backcountry touring while still being sturdy to rip inbounds. With the playful AR Freestyle Rocker profile, you get premium powder performance from the tip splay and taper that effortlessly keeps you on top of the fresh. Even with a nearly twin-tipped profile, this is not a fully rockered powder ski—camber underfoot allows you to hold an edge on steep, technical pitches and charge through variable snow with maximum confidence. And, Armada's Smear Tech 3D base beveling lets you go sideways instantly, so you can slash and butter powder pillows without worrying about catching an edge. Make the Armada ARV 116 JJ UL your resort storm ski or backcountry powder ski—and with a hybrid touring binding, you can easily switch between both.
