Backstory
For Mark, it’s all about maintaining perspective and exploring the world’s natural environment. When he isn’t scheming up new ideas for Jans’ marketing campaigns in the office, he’s probably scheming up better ideas on his mountain bike or skis. As the impetus for jans.com, Mark had a vision to create a content-rich website that provided comprehensive, interesting and accurate information from the experts at Jans so that their knowledge could be shared with a world of outdoor enthusiasts - instead of just the customers who came into our stores. Today that vision is a reality, and the website content is far more than any of us ever imagined.

“Mark is one of the most unique people I have ever met. He has sailed the world competitively, been a banker and is now a marketing and advertising exec. On top of that, he’s an amazing father and mentor. He also possesses the unique ability to be able to ski and smile at the same time, which has landed him in ad campaigns and editorial. He loves to bike in the summer and will sidetrack any conversation to talk about a trail or a piece of gear. I learn from Mark daily whether it be about gear or marketing.”
