Backstory
Travis started fishing as soon as he could walk. His first fish was a Bonneville cutthroat trout, the Utah state fish, that was caught on Chalk Creek in NE Utah. Since then, he has chased native fish in their home waters across the US, Canada, Mexico, Scotland, Ireland, Japan, Brazil, and many more. Having fished all over the world, he believes that each locale, from the Atlantic intercostal to a high mountain stream, has its own unique appeal. As a respected fly fishing guide, Travis is a natural teacher who gets just as excited as his clients when they catch their first fish. The only thing Travis is more passionate about is sharing the outdoors with others and teaching those who want to learn.
“Travis has been in the fly fishing industry for a long time. He is super knowledgeable when it comes to fly fishing gear; he loves his “bugs” and is an accomplished fly tier. Whether he is in the shop, or out on the water, his enthusiasm always carries over to his clients. Travis is an incredible teacher – his patience and passion for fly fishing are second to none.”
